About Us

Tammy Livesay Lee has been a dancer in and around Houston most of her life. Her love of dance began by dancing in the living room along with the Larry Kane show, a local show similar to American Bandstand.  She got into group dancing with high school drill team and continued with square dancing, clogging and most recently, round dancing. In 1999, the clogging group Tammy created, Thunderfoot Cloggers, merged with Syncopation Cloggers, where Tammy was the choreographer and instructor.  Syncopation Cloggers folded in 2017.

Tammy met Marvin Lee while both were members of Clogg Hoppers Exhbition Clogging Team during the 1970s. They were re-acquainted in 1999 and have been married since 2000. They live in Friendswood where Marvin owns a landscaping company. They have four grandsons and twin granddaughters.

In 2008, Tammy and Marvin began round dancing in Friendswood with Wag-a-Rounds, led by Marilyn  & Jerral Waguespack.  In 2013, Tammy began choreographing round dances and experimenting with cueing, occasionally cueing both at practices and at their square dance club, Hanger Squares.

Tammy is a member of Roundalab, the international association for round dance instructors, Houston Callers Association and Texas Round Dance Teachers Association.  In January, 2014, she created a new round dance club, Gulf Coast Rounds, and began offering beginner round dance lessons at Bayland Community Center in Houston. Gulf Coast Rounds' completed their first two-step class in May 2014.

Tammy made her public cueing debut at the TSFSRD Conclave in Houston, TX in January, 2014, followed by the Texas Round Dance Teachers Association's Festival in LaGrange, TX, two weeks later. She cues and teaches GCR on Wednesdays from 1 - 3PM at Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet in Houston and has several dance events booked throughout the year.  Check the home page - Current and Upcoming Events section - for specific information.  Tammy and Marvin continue to improve their round dancing by regularly attending round dance workshops and festivals and practicing at home. Tammy has written several pieces of her own choreography and she has co-hosted multiple weekend festivals.

She has dates open and would love to cue for your next event.
